Our films tend to focus on environmental narratives: stories that focus on natural landscapes, as well as the humans that occupy them. The point of making films this way is to show how these two stories are intertwined - to show how humans are shaped by, but also shape their natural environments – and vice versa

Our documentaries and video work has screened at festivals and galleries across Europe, North America and even further afield. We have also expanded into video content, while continuing our work in documentary and video art.

Everything Silverstrand puts out is provocative, distinctive, and cinematic. We believe in marrying strong research and creative freedom: striving to create arresting and unconventional visual imagery while maintaining a richly cinematic feel. Similarly, when producing video content we strive to create images that make an instant impression on the viewer and capture the imagination. We're experienced directors and producers, but also camera people, and editors: all Silverstrand films are constructed from start to finish by Kevin and Laurence.
